FAQ's
Below are answers to some of the most common questions we are asked at Super Dog. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have.
At what age can I start puppy training?
Ideally, you could start showing your puppy basic commands at 7-8
weeks of age. Professional can start at 12-16 weeks.
Is it ever too late to start training
my dog?
No! It is never too late. Super Dog has trained dogs as old as 10
years, as long as they are in good health.
When do I know that my dog needs
training?
ALL dogs need training! From the Toy Poodle to the Great Dane, an
untrained dog can be very frustrating. A trained dog makes a better
companion.
Will dog training change my dogs
happy personality?
No! Super Dog strives to accomplish a quick and happy obedience routine.
There is nothing better than a happy dog wanting to please his owners
all the time. The Super Dog method of training is focused on letting
your dog have fun while they are in training. We utilize a soft touch
artful direction technique for training with real results.
What is the difference between the
Super Dog training method and all of the other trainers out there?
Unfortunately, there are too many trainers out there that use training
methods that are way to strong, yanking dogs over over the place,
thinking that is the best training method. Some trainers never give
dogs the proper corrections to reinforce the proper response to any
given command. The Super Dog method is the perfect balance that gives
all clients a well trained dog who enjoy pleasing their owners.
Where is the dog training performed?
Training is performed at the Super Dog Training and Boarding Academy
or in your home.
What is the best way to train a
dog?
We highly recommend Full Care Boarding and Training where all training
is performed on a daily basis until the proper level is achieved.
Following this training, lessons where the owner is involved are recommended.
What if my dog is beyond training?
No healthy dog is ever beyond training. All dogs can be trained using
the Super Dog training method.
What do you mean when you say that
dog training can save a dogs life?
A disobedient dog that pulls you down the street and does not come
when called is a disaster waiting to happen. A dog that constantly
bursts or lunges on the leash can lunge into traffic or pull you into
traffic. Training with the Super Dog method for a puppy or an adult
dog is the key to a long and happy life together!
We had our dog trained by other
trainers and our dog is still not trained. Can you help us with our
dog?
Yes! We hear about this all the time during our free evaluations.
When we start telling owners about our training methods and solutions
for their dog, its like nothing they have ever seen or heard before.
Owners are amazed by the immediate changes in their dog behavior when
we start using the Super Dog training methods.
Are you available one the training
is completed to help me if any problems should arise?

if needed. You can contact us at Super Dog at anytime for canine counseling
or advice.
